ISM uses an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to provide a real-time, integrated view of all core business processes, from purchasing to scheduling, machine time to logistics. The ERP System monitors itself to ensure products move through the system as predicted and are delivered on-time.
Because ISM is a highly vertically integrated company with a comprehensive set of capabilities; we are able to keep a very high level of requirements in-house. This means full adherence to ISM standards and your project is less dependent on multiple vendors and variables that could negatively impact on-time delivery.
ISM enjoys significant depth in its line of equipment. Unlike many companies every ISM capability is backed up with another machine that can do the job in the event of an unplanned shut-down of the primary machine. This level of equipment redundancy ensures project quality and adherence to schedule will not be impaired due to equipment failure.
Since its inception nearly 50 years ago, ISM has never incurred a strike. ISM is a company that understands the value of employees and the ownership they bring to each project. The “part-of-the-family” team culture in combination with pride in their work, having the tools they need to do their job and a total compensation and benefits package that competes well with unionized situations assures ISM customers their project will be uninterrupted by work stoppage that could be found at alternative vendors.
To ensure the machines we use are reliable and perform at required tolerances ISM uses a RPM (Repair, Prevention, Modification) program to track and prioritize maintenance activity to ensure downtime is at the very minimum. ISM maintenance technicians are trained to troubleshoot and repair equipment. The maintenance crew is scheduled around the clock and at times when machines are not in use to assure the highest level of reliability.
